Sahajanand Medical Technologies Receives CE Mark for Sirolimus-Eluting Coronary Stents

Sahajanand Medical Technologies (SMT), an India-based manufacturer of minimally invasive coronary stents, recently announced that it has received the CE mark for two sirolimus-eluting coronary stent systems: Supralimus (sirolimus-eluting stents on a stainless-steel platform) and Supralimus-Core (sirolimus-eluting stents on a chromium-cobalt platform).

The company has the distinction of being the first in the world to have CE marks for both sirolimus- and paclitaxel-eluting coronary stents; it has a total of three CE-approved drug-eluting stents in its product portfolio.
