In an effort to bring uniformity to India's IVD sector, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) plans to issue guidance for the regulation of in vitro diagnostic devices and reagents. The initiative was announced following a request for guidance by industry at a recent meeting with DCGI, reports Pharmabiz.com.

As part of a strategic seven-year deal with Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Thyrocare Technologies Ltd will soon boast a state-of-the-art lab automation system from Siemens that will help reduce turnaround times for testing samples by three hours.
